We were required to do a Vampire themed shoot for a Design Literacy project. I decided to stay away from black lace and crucifixes and instead went for a 50’s spin on the whole thing…I had this image in my head of a perfectly made up woman slaving away all day to make these cupcakes for her husband, only for him to come home after work and complain about them..fed up, as any oppressed housewife would be, she bites him.
I really liked the idea of the contrast between the blood and gore of the killing with the pastel colours and baked good. The kitchen we shot in was too perfect, from the pink radio to old school stove.
Mads Norgaard took these photographs, and he really brought my concept to life.
